I think the idea of creating positive sleep assocations is worthwhile, but the promises that after just 2 weeks of implementing a consistent bed-time routine with the final step being sldeping the baby to bed awake, that the baby will sleep through the night is far fetched.
It’s rather informative and jodj interesting, and – as it is well written – a breeze to get through. Not every parent condones letting a baby cry themselves to sleep, but this book is a happy medium.
At six months old, he is right on track. I’m just not that into parenting books, but I love knowing I’m getting all the helpful information possible to do right by my kids. When should my mineell sleep through the night without a bottle?

I was anxious about sleep ,indell my older daughter had problems sleeping and through reading this book like the ones I read as a first time parent I learned that it is all my fault.

Sleep Advice From Dr. Jodi Mindell
Now there are lots of strategies and things I can do to help make it better, but essentially its all my fault. Ha, maybe I did something right the second time by just leaving her to her own devices more often.
Equally, it recognises the vast difference between babies and addresses that directly rather than just saying “all babies are different” before going on to assume the same thing will work for all of them, like many other books. While she is not sttn yet, I feel confident that she will in the coming months.
Some parents dislike this book because they perceive it to be a “sleep training” manual, but I view it more as sleep guidance because her tone and approach is gentle and helpful. We used what we learned in this book for our younger two children, and they never had any trouble jofi to sleep and staying asleep.

I would recommend this book to any parent who wants to read more about sleep training or who is at the end of jod rope with what to do about sleep.
And although our daughter did not have a sleep disorder, the book helped us understand how we could help our daughter fall asleep and stay asleep.

After 3 or 4 nights of sleep training my daughter was much more comfortable in Jodi Mendell helped save my household from an enormous amount of potential frustration.
